High up on the right side of the carb? The plug on Stef's '97 was about in the middle. On the right side of the bike, just above where the BIG rubber connector hose connects the carb asembly to the cylinder, there are two phillips (+) head brass screws about one and a half inches apart. Just slightly above those screws and towards the front of the bike is where the brass plug is. Is this where you drilled? Or was it somewhere else? There most definetly should be a screw in there if that's where you drilled.
